Shalom Mbah, 10, and Sky Sosa, 5, both of Riverdale, have been identified by police investigators as the two children who died from their injuries as they walked to Riverdale Elementary School in Riverdale Park.

Police say that at around 8 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 20, Mbah and Sosa were walking with the man in the 5000 block of Riverdale Road when they were struck by a woman driving a van southbound on Taylor Road near the school.

She made a left turn onto Riverdale Road, where she struck the two students and man who were in a crosswalk. The driver was uninjured.

Moving forward, police say that once the investigation is complete, the information will be released to the Prince George's County State's Attorney to determine if there are any criminal charges to be filed.

Anyone with information regarding the crash or events leading up to it has been asked to contact detectives at the Prince George's County Police Department by calling (301) 731-4422.
